Tips on how to participate in Bayt.com Virtual Job Fair
We hosted a number of local virtual job fairs last year (you can read about them here, here and here). In order to give Bayt.com job seekers the maximum exposure, Bayt.com will be hosting the Middle East Virtual Job Fair on March 22, 2009. The event is sponsored by Qatar Foundation and will last for 5 days till March 26, 2009.
The aim of the event is to offer employers and job seekers alike a chance to conveniently and effectively connect and interact online; thereby providing qualified job seeking candidates with interesting career opportunities; and giving local, regional and international employers access to professionals from around the region; pushing the online recruitment concept even further.
Given below are some useful tips for job seekers on how to make the best use of this event.
Visit all the Booths
Visit all the booths in each floor to explore different employers at the virtual job fair. Have a look at the open vacancies that each employer has and apply to relevant jobs. If you can research about the companies participating in the virtual job fair, that will help you go right to the company on top of your priority list.
Brand yourself Effectively
We all know that getting a job now a days isn’t easy at all. It’s not just about telling your past work experience and listing your strengths and weaknesses. You should be able to give a clear benefit statement indicating what differentiates you from others with similar experiences and education. Communicate Professionally
Communicate professionally with employers and other job seekers similar to the way you would do in any physical job fair or during any other interview.
